United Voice and United Voice Legal are pleased to announce Stefania McGrath has been recognised as one of Western Australia’s top plaintiff workers’ compensation lawyers.
Stefania, who joined at United Voice Legal just over a year ago, is now regarded as one of the best in the business, listed in the prestigious legal publication Doyles Guide.
Starting her law career 12 years ago, Stef has been working in workers’ compensation from the start, and while working for Gibson and Gibson she often represented the members of the LHMU (now United Voice).
“I’ve been a lawyer for roughly 12 years and I have been employed by United Voice Legal for just over a year and I’m pleased to be representing United Voice again,
“I love the clients - they are the best, most hardworking clients that you could look after,” she said.
Claiming to have been a nurse in her past life, Stef lives for the caring aspect of her job.
“I love helping people,” she said.
Working in a team of five, Stefania said the recognition from her peers solidifies the work done by United Voice Legal.
“I love that the team and I have worked so hard within the last 12 months and to be recognised as one of Western Australia’s top plaintiff workers’ compensation lawyers is great for United Voice Legal,
“It is excellent to have this recognition within the profession and I really want client’s whom we are representing to know we are offering an exceptional service,” she said.
Coming out of a hard week, Stefania found out about her accolade on Doyles Guide through a family member.
“It felt really good to see my name on there, I must admit that particular week was a tough week at work and it was nice to understand that I am acknowledged and appreciated, so that was really quite special,” she said.
While this is an exciting achievement for Stefania, and the United Voice Legal team, Stefania says they are always looking for more cases to take on.
“We all run quite efficiently, we are easily able to identify issues and resolve them quickly, we have worked hard to create reasonable systems to deal with issue as they arise and we have capacity to take on more clients,” she said.
United Voice Legal currently services mainly workers’ compensation cases, but are keen to branch out further.
“Predominantly, most of our claims are workers compensation, with about 80% of our clients contacting us with a workers comp claim,
“We assist with all of their entitlements, being their workers’ compensation wages, their medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation and provide advice about settlement and common law claims,
“We also provide advice for motor vehicle injury claims and public liability claims,” she said
People are able to call United Voice Legal for assistance.
“Pick up the phone, we are quite happy to give over the phone advice and to see if it’s the right time to get legal representation and we can also provide practical tips with how to deal with certain issue that arise throughout a claim,” she said.
