United Voice is your Aged Care Union, dedicated to protecting quality jobs for Aged Care workers and quality care for older Australians.
Thousands of aged-care workers in both home-care and residential aged care are United Voice members, including personal carers, gardeners, cooks, cleaners and more.
We have a presence in all major Aged Care workplaces and employer groups, including Aegis, Amana Living, Baptist Care, Bethanie, Braemar, Brightwater, Catholic Homes, Hall & Prior, Juniper, Southern Cross and many more.
United Voice members are some of the most knowledgable and experienced people in the sector, and members concerns and experiences are integral to the success and quality of aged care in Australia.
That's why United Voice members play such a pivotal role in providing a voice for thousands of carers, and older Australians in care, through the Our Turn To Care campaign.
Our Turn To Care supports quality care and a dignified life for all older Australians. The campaign calls on the federal government to increase aged care funding and make it reliable.
Whether you work as a casual or permanent staff member, part time or full time United Voice represents you.
Everyone in Australia has the right to join a union.
United Voice members in Disability Support provide essential services to some of the most vulnerable members of our society.
We are at hand to give you and your family professional care when you need it.
We fight hard to make sure people with a disability have their care needs adequately funded through the NDIS, and to make sure workers get a fair deal too.
Here in WA we have a great "Disability Industry Delegates" group who always take a lead in making decisions which affect Disability Support Workers.
Together, United Voice members have had some great wins over the years - raising wages and improving conditions in for Disability Support Workers across many employers and workplaces.
But there's still a long way to go - that's why it's really important to join your Union!
