Protect Our Penalty Rates!

With the Federal Election set to be called any day now, it’s time to reactivate the BURGUNDY WAVE!

The Burgundy Wave is United Voice members working together to send a clear message to politicians: you can’t afford to ignore us or the changes our jobs, industries and communities need.

At the last State Election, Burgundy Wave members took to the street to help elect candidates who supported our aims, and to kick out those who didn’t. We were very successful then - so let's do it again!

Under the Liberal Party Federal Government we have experienced cuts to penalty rates, to aged care funding, and attacks on our right as working people to earn decent pay and fair conditions.

On Sunday March 31 we want your help.

We will be asking the community to sign our pledge to vote to protect penalty rates, and send a message to Christian Porter - the current Liberal member for Pearce - that we won’t forget about all his votes against Penalty Rates.

At the State Election, over 300 members signed up to the Burgundy Wave and threw out Colin Barnett.

It's time to do the same to Scott Morrison.
