Sometimes a picture can tell 1,000 stories.
This one tells 15,000.
Today 15,000 Education Assistants, Cleaners, Gardeners, Teachers, and School Support Staff were joined by parents, children and other members of the community at Gloucester Park in East Perth.
We gathered there to tell Colin Barnett and Peter Collier to stop the cuts.
To stop putting children’s education at risk.
We came together to tell the Barnett Government that we want to protect WA’s quality education system.
And, more than protect it; We’re ready to fight for it.
In regional centres, from Bunbury to Broome, Albany to Karratha, members and the community turned out in force. Your message was heard right across Western Australia.
Colin Barnett and Peter Collier were invited to speak to the crowd, but instead chose to hide at Parliament. But they can’t hide if we’re this big. This strong.
So, the fight keeps going.
