WA Labor will put hundreds more education jobs back into our schools

Great news: WA Labor has just announced that they will create hundreds of new positions for Education Assistants and Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers, and teachers!

This morning Mark McGowan announced that if Labor wins the state election, his government will employ:

  • 300 additional Education Assistants
  • 50 additional Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers; and
  • 120 more teachers.

This is a fantastic outcome for our children and our schools, and for all of us who work in education.

We know just how valuable our work is, and Labor and Mark McGowan are recognising this with a major election commitment to put hundreds more education jobs back into our schools.

Congratulations to every United Voice member who has stood together to ensure our politicians recognise just how important our work is.

Now let’s share the news and make this happen by voting for WA Labor on March 11!
